What is the policy for visitors and overnight guests?
Your children, grandchildren, family and friends are always welcome at The Overlook. Overnight guests can stay in your personal residence, or you can reserve gracious guest suites located within the community for a nominal fee.
If I decide to live at The Overlook, how soon could I move in?
There are still a few residences available and reservations are now being accepted. You can move in as soon as you desire. We invite you to schedule an appointment to learn more details about The Overlook and the various floor plan options available.

Is the entrance fee refundable?
Yes. With the lifelong membership plan, you have the assurance that 90 percent of the residential component of your entrance fee is refundable to you or your estate. In addition, The Overlook offers complete flexibility with a variety of entrance fee options. What is the policy for having pets?
Pets are most definitely welcome. We only ask that you respect the rights of neighbors and other members who might not have them.
What does the monthly service fee cover?
Your monthly service fee covers all utilities (except telephone), including basic cable television, indoor/outdoor maintenance, grounds keeping, twice-monthly housekeeping, annual heavy cleaning, meals in a choice of dining atmospheres, and scheduled transportation for shopping or appointments. What are the entrance requirements?
To become a member of The Overlook, you must be 62 or better and able to live independently. Entrance fees vary according to the residence you select, but most members use the proceeds from the sale of their home to provide the entrance fee. Contact one of our counselors for details.
How are personal services handled?
Should you ever require enhanced living or personal services while a member of The Overlook, it will be provided on-campus - at virtually no increase in your monthly service fee. What will everyday life be like at The Overlook?
Whatever you wish to make it! The Overlook offers centrally located apartments and patio home floor plans. Members enjoy a variety of dining rooms and cuisines, a library, an auditorium, woodworking shop, an indoor heated swimming pool, a spa and fitness center, and much more. Is The Overlook in a desirable location?
Although the spacious community feels refreshingly removed from city life, The Overlook is conveniently located in the heart of New England. Just south of Worcester, it is easily accessed via the Massachusetts Turnpike, I-395 and I-84. Historic Sturbridge Village is nearby, as are a wide range of fine dining, antiques shopping and cultural opportunities. In addition, Boston, Hartford, Providence and Springfield are each less than an hour away. Other destinations such as Cape Cod, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York City are also within easy reach.

What are the security arrangements?
The Overlook provides 24-hour security, allowing you to come and go as you please. You may move about the community without worry, and rest assured your home is protected when you travel. State-of-the-art security and emergency call systems will also be included in every residence and monitored around the clock by The Overlook personnel.
